    The Second TPM

    Erasmus+ TPM 2 in Türkiye – Summary of Days 1 to 3

From July 14th to 16th, the 2nd Transnational Project Meeting (TPM 2) of our Erasmus+ project took place in Akçakoca, Düzce, Türkiye, hosted by our Turkish partner school. The program offered a rich combination of project work, environmental exploration, and cultural exchange.

📅 Day 1 – Project Development and Partner Contributions
The first day of the meeting focused on project progress and coordination. Six key presentations were delivered:

    1️⃣ Project data
    2️⃣ Dissemination
    3️⃣ Benefits and  impact
    4️⃣ Local Actions
    5️⃣ Project evaluation
    6️⃣ Final project results

This session provided a valuable platform to share experiences and reinforce our shared vision for sustainability-focused education.

    📅 Day 2 – Natural Environment & Informal Exchange
Participants visited the Düzce waterfalls, where they reflected on the importance of preserving biodiversity and the natural environment. The peaceful setting served as a reminder of why environmental awareness is central to our project goals.

In the evening, a traditional barbecue dinner was held, accompanied by homemade baklava, offering participants a taste of Turkish hospitality and the chance to connect informally in a relaxed atmosphere.

📅 Day 3 – Historical and Cultural Immersion
The group traveled to Ankara, where they visited:
🏛️ Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, a powerful symbol of Türkiye’s republican values
🏺 The Museum of Anatolian Civilizations, home to rich archaeological collections from Anatolia’s ancient past

In the evening, the team enjoyed a cultural experience in Beypazarı, attending a traditional Turkish henna night (kına gecesi) filled with music, symbolic rituals, and joyful celebration — a memorable opportunity to engage with local customs.

These three days reflected the spirit of Erasmus+: fostering environmental awareness, strengthening partnerships, and celebrating cultural diversity.
